D4vd Tesla body identified as a teenage girl - was it a murder? What she wore and where the case is headed
D4vd, a well-known American singer with millions of streams, is in trouble with the police after a body was found in an impounded Tesla car at a Hollywood tow yard. This horrendous incident raised pressing questions regarding the identity of the victim and what led to this tragedy in the first place.

Los Angeles is in shock after police confirmed that the body found in the trunk of a Tesla owned by rising music star D4vd belonged to a teenage girl. The grim discovery was made at a Hollywood tow yard, raising another set of urgent questions about how the teen got inside the abandoned car and if someone did something wrong, as per law enforcement sources, reported ABC News.

How did they find the body?

On September 8, police in Los Angeles went to a tow yard near Mansfield Avenue and Romaine Street in Hollywood after getting calls about a bad smell.

The smell led police to the front trunk of a Tesla that had been impounded. Inside a bag, they found the body of a young girl who had been dead for a long time.

Two days before it was towed, the car had been left on Bluebird Avenue and Doheny Drive. Later, investigators found out that the car belonged to 20-year-old singer David Anthony Burke, who goes by the stage name D4vd.

Was it a murder?

The medical examiner's office in Los Angeles County hasn't figured out what caused the death yet, as per LAPD sources.

ABC News got information from police that the girl had been dead for a while before she was found.

Investigators are putting a lot of weight on the autopsy results to figure out what happened and if the death will be ruled a homicide. Detectives also want to talk to the registered owner of the Tesla and anyone else who is connected to the case.

Reports say that D4vd has been helping with the investigation while on tour. The singer, who became famous on TikTok, has more than 33 million monthly listeners on Spotify right now and is set to perform in Los Angeles on September 20.

Are there other cases like this in Los Angeles?

Police found another body in a different tow yard in South Los Angeles just one day after the Tesla discovery. This time, the victim was a woman found in the burned trunk of a Honda.

Jim McDonnell, the head of the LAPD, said that “a follow-up investigation at OPG by missing persons units detectives that same day led to the discovery of the body. On Sept. 11, an autopsy was conducted. The decedent was determined to be female. The coroner ruled the death a homicide, finding that it occurred prior to the fire,” as quoted in a report by ABC News.

What happens next with the case?

Los Angeles police are under a lot of pressure to find out what happened after two bodies were found in abandoned cars in the same week. For now, investigators are using forensic analysis to figure out how the teenage girl died and if her case is linked to other crimes.

The unsettling mystery about the Tesla that belongs to D4vd is still unsolved for now.
