The main website of the company managing the chain of hotels is down. A message on its homepage says the site is "currently unavailable". It directs customers to contact the company via the phone, or through third-party websites.
Resorts of the company face similar problems and their websites too have been compromised. On their websites too, similar messages are displayed. MGM Resorts International owns hotels and casinos across the US, including some of the best-known locations in Las Vegas.

Hotel confirms cyber attack
In a post on social media platform X, MGM Resorts International wrote, "Our investigation is ongoing, and we are working diligently to determine the nature and scope of the matter."
FBI probing cyber attack
Federal Bureau of Investigation has confirmed the cyber attack and said that it is investigating the attack on MGM Resorts International hotels. It also said that it has been in contact with the chain of hotels since Sunday.
Hotel Bellagio under cyber attack
Hotel Bellagio also came under the cyber attack. According to the media reports, Bellagio guests were unable to charge anything to their rooms, make reservations, or use their digital room keys.
In a similar cyber attack in 2019, one of the company's cloud services was breached. The hackers stole more than 10 million customer records. Thy took away people's names, addresses, and passport numbers were taken.
It is not yet known whether data have been stolen as a result of the latest cyber-attack.
