Football legend Cristiano Ronald is anticipated to play for Portugal as they face Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 2024 UEFA European Championship qualifiers on Saturday. Portugal's national football team, known as the Seleção das Quinas, is gearing up for their next batch of qualifying matches. They will face Bosnia in Portugal and then travel to Iceland on Monday.

Currently, Portugal holds the top position in Group J of the qualifiers, having secured six points from their first two games against Liechtenstein and Luxembourg. Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to lead Selecao to further victories against Bosnia and Iceland, which will bring the team closer to qualifiers, according to reports.

Ronaldo recently joined the national team after concluding the 2022-23 season with Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr. He also expressed his excitement on returning to Portugal writing, "Always a special feeling to be back home."

Notably, Ronaldo scored two goals in each of Portugal's previous wins against Liechtenstein and Luxembourg in March. Among the Euro 2024 qualifiers, only Denmark's Rasmus Hojlund has scored more goals (5) than the prolific Al-Nassr forward.

As the leading goal-scorer in international men's football with 122 goals, the Portuguese icon is eager to increase his tally in Lisbon. In their last encounter with Bosnia in 2011, Ronaldo contributed to a 6-2 victory for Portugal in the 2012 European Championship qualifying playoffs.
