Cristiano Ronaldo attends White House dinner with Donald Trump as video goes viral; US President says 'My son is a big fan of Ronaldo'

Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo’s appearance at a White House dinner alongside President Donald Trump and Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has gone viral. A brief video of Ronaldo settling the dinner table on Tuesday quickly spread across social media, sparking lively reactions from fans and generating massive global attention.


Later, Trump acknowledged the 40-year-old Portuguese star's presence saying, "My son is a BIG fan of Ronaldo. "Barron got to meet him - I think he respects his father a little bit more now because I introduced you."



The soccer superstar was seated near the front of the East Room, close to the spot where the president and crown prince addressed officials from both countries, as well as prominent business figures including Apple CEO Tim Cook and Tesla founder Elon Musk, reported AP

According to Reuters, Trump is hosting the Saudi de facto ruler as he works to rebuild his global image following the 2018 killing of US-based journalist Jamal Khashoggi and aims to strengthen ties with Washington.

Ronaldo, who has scored over 950 goals for club and country, remains under contract with Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr until 2027, a team majority-owned by the kingdom’s Public Investment Fund.
