Cracker Barrel's new logo
Cracker Barrel, the iconic country-themed restaurant chain, debuted a dramatically new logo and a revamped fall menu as part of a sweeping rebranding effort announced on August 19, 2025.

For the first time in 48 years, the chain’s logo features only text, eliminating the classic image of a man resting beside a barrel—a move met with both anticipation and controversy among its loyal customer base.

To celebrate the launch, Cracker Barrel is offering a complimentary Classic Side with any purchase nationwide on August 23 and 24, 2025. Country music star Jordan Davis, who features prominently in the campaign, will also help kick off the celebration at the “A Taste of Country, Anytime” event in New York City.

A modern logo for a new era

The updated logo, part of the brand’s “All the More” campaign, retains Cracker Barrel’s distinctive gold and brown color scheme. The company says these changes are intended to evoke “farm fresh scrambled eggs and buttermilk biscuits.”

According to a Cracker Barrel press release, the logo’s new minimalist style seeks to position the brand for the future while it “is now rooted even more closely to the iconic barrel shape and word mark that started it all”.

Sarah Moore, Cracker Barrel’s Chief Marketing Officer, explained –“We believe in the goodness of country hospitality, a spirit that has always defined us. Our story hasn’t changed. Our values haven’t changed. With ‘All the More,’ we’re honoring our legacy while bringing fresh energy, thoughtful craftsmanship and heartfelt hospitality to our guests this fall,” according to New York Post.

Customer response

This shift follows criticism from customers upset by the removal of Cracker Barrel’s signature dark, rustic look in favor of a brighter modern farmhouse design—prompting many nostalgic fans to express that they feel “heartbroken.”

The bold rebrand and modernized décor have drawn mixed reactions from longstanding customers. While some patrons miss the nostalgic, cluttered interiors and distinctive peg games –“don’t paint everything gray,” one pleaded, others embrace the updates as a necessary evolution for the 660-location chain. The company assures that the changes maintain the brand’s core values and commitment to “old-school hospitality”.
