The teen boy had hid key of their handcuffs in his mouth and managed to escape his abusive home along with his sibling after their mother and her boyfriend went to sleep.

He kept waiting for his mother and her boyfriend to go to sleep so he could manage to unlock the handcuffs on their wrists and run away. The details were revealed in legal documents filed against their mother. She is waiting for her extradition from Louisiana to Harris County.
The siblings' mother, Zaikiya Duncan (40), and her boyfriend, Jova Terrell (27), is being charged under a child injury case in Harris County. Both were brought under custody in Baton Rouge on Tuesday while fleeing with her five other children and ringing an Amber Alert. Bond was denied for both in courtroom.
In a recent interview with the detectives, the 16-year-old teens said they had caustic oven cleaner sprayed in their mouths, were forced to drink bleach and were beaten and burned routinely.
