Country star Luke Bryan roasts CEO caught in Coldplay kiss cam scandal: “who’s here with their secretary tonight?”
The singer paused during his performance at Bon Secours Wellness Arena to joke about the now widely circulated video showing the Astronomer CEO and his colleague on the kiss cam at a Coldplay concert the night before.
“We’re gonna shine our cameras on anybody,” Bryan told the crowd. “Who’s here with their secretary tonight? Hey, it’s gotta be someone way up there… Don’t get caught tonight!”
“Do not get caught tonight,” Bryan repeated before jumping into his hit 2015 song “Strip It Down.”
The moment drew laughter from the audience and quickly spread across social media platforms.
The original incident occurred on Wednesday night at a Coldplay show at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, when the stadium’s kiss cam zoomed in on Byron and Cabot embracing. The crowd reacted, and frontman Chris Martin made a brief comment:
“Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I’m not quite sure what to do,” Martin said. “Holy s–t. I hope we didn’t do something bad.”
The clip, which was posted to TikTok by Coldplay attendee Grace Springer, quickly went viral. Social media users identified the couple as Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company’s Chief People Officer. It was soon reported that the woman seen in the video was not Byron’s wife, prompting speculation about a workplace affair.
By Friday afternoon, the Astronomer confirmed that both Byron and Cabot had been placed on leave pending a formal investigation. In a public statement, the company said:
“The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter… Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability.”
Multiple news outlets reported that Byron is in negotiations for an exit package. As of Saturday, neither Byron nor Cabot has publicly commented on the matter.
