He informed his followers that he was undergoing cancer treatment, including chemotherapies, surgeries, and radiation. In his statement, he also claimed that he is now resting and recovering from his sickness and spending time with his family. He will, however, meet his admirers very soon.
About Keith and his music career
Keith, a native of Oklahoma, worked in the oil sector and starred in the USFL football teams before pursuing a career as a music artist. In 1993, he released his self-named debut album on Mercury, which became a hit after selling over a million copies.
Keith is known chiefly for his conservative politics. His most famous songs are "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue (The Angry American)" from 2002, partly inspired by the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
Keith's music has achieved a lot of success and is known among the top country singles. "Peso in My Pocket," which is his latest album, featured the top 25 country single "Old School."
Keith's upcoming performance might not take place
Keith's spokeswoman, Elaine Schock, stated that he would not be singing at any of his scheduled shows for some time due to his cancer diagnosis. His most recent tour was set to begin on Friday. Keith was set to start a multicity tour promoting his new album, "Peso in My Pocket," with the first date set for June 17. There has been no formal announcement on whether the concert will continue, be postponed, or be canceled, but his July 28 show at the Ohio State Fair has been canceled.
Keith also has a record of assisting children living with cancer. According to the Toby Keith Foundation's website, he founded the organization in 2006 to help assist children with cancer.
