Convert WebP images to JPEG, PNG: Here's a full guide
The WebP format is an image file type, which has potentially replaced other popular formats like JPEG, PNG and GIF.

Here's a guide on how to convert a WebP image into a more popular format.
Using Microsoft Paint
Launch MS Paint > Open using Ctrl+O the desired *.webp fileOnce loaded, Go to File > Save as > PNG or JPEG picture
Go to desired location and click on Save
Using Microsoft Edge
Microsoft Internet Explorer, unlike other browsers, doesn't support WEBP format. Therefore, if a website has .webp files, it must provide JPEG or PNG versions of the same images to users accessing the site through Microsoft Edge in Internet Explorer mode. Obtaining JPEG or PNG versions of images on a website can be done by opening the site in Edge's Internet Explorer mode and downloading the image from that browser. Before proceeding, it is important to confirm that you have enabled Internet Explorer mode in Edge.
Select *.webp URL and copy it, using CTRL+C or right click and copy.
Paste the link in another window's address bar and hit Enter.
On the top right, click on three dot menu.
Select "Reload in Internet Explorer mode".
After entering IE mode, right click on desired image and it will save as a *.jpeg or *.png file.
Using an Online Conversion Website
There are a bunch of websites available on the internet, which offer free or paid image conversion services. Therefore, on these sites, one can simply drag and drop or upload *.webp image and the website will convert it and send you a link to download the file in your desired, *jpeg, *.png, or any other image file format.FAQs:
