Contaminated Spinach provokes hallucinations and sickness in Australia, nine critical
After consuming toxic spinach, an urgent health issue triggered people with severe illness and hallucinations in Sydney, Australia.

Meanwhile, those nine people are suffering from uncommon symptoms and are under hospital care.
Health authorities also cautioned about some of the serious symptoms associated with expired spinach consumption including spiked heartbeat, blurred vision, delirium and hallucinations.
Further, Dr Darren Roberts, from the State's Poisons Information Centre said, "No one has died, so we're very happy with that and we hope it remains that way, but these people are quite sick... to the point of marked hallucinations, where they are seeing things that aren't there."
He also added, "There is no suggestion, and to our knowledge no possibility, that any other products have been impacted by this weed," they said.
And, "All of those affected so far are from Sydney, NSW Health said, but it has alerted authorities in other states as it investigates."
On the other hand, The initial investigations by health officials suggest the reactions were initiated through the presence of "an accidental contaminant in the food product."
However, the issue is under control now, and there is no need to panic. Riviera Farms also mentioned 'A weed has most probably contaminated the spinach, but surprisingly it has not affected any other products.
