In a spirited discussion, Constance Wu chatted with ABC News' Juju Chang for a lengthy interview that aired on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday and later on "Nightline."
She discussed her claim that a "Fresh Off the Boat" producer had harassed her sexually as well as a previous claim of being raped on a date by a different man. Both of these are detailed in her upcoming book, "Making a Scene," released on October 4.
Wu recently made a comeback on social media after disappearing in 2019 in the wake of outrage over her critical tweet in response to "Fresh Off the Boat" getting renewed for a sixth and eventually final season. In May of that year, after her comments went viral, she attempted to take her own life, as she revealed in July.
Wu is now talking openly about the Twitterstorm, her apology, the professional repercussions, her mental well-being and recovery, the complicated world of social media, and her opinions on the cancel culture.
