A new round of scrutiny surrounding Donald Trump aide Natalie Harp has triggered a furious backlash from conservative activist Laura Loomer, who is demanding that the White House identify and fire the staffers she believes are leaking private information about the president's relationship with his executive assistant.

Loomer's intervention came after a barrage of newly published photographs appeared to shed light on a previously reported 2023 incident involving Harp at Trump's Turnberry golf course in Scotland. The images show Harp apparently running uphill after Trump's golf cart, bringing renewed attention to the unusual closeness between the 35-year-old aide and the president.

But while the photographs and details have prompted questions about Harp's role around Trump, Loomer has focused on a different question: Who inside Trump's orbit is leaking private information and photographs to the media?

Laura Loomer turns her anger on the ‘nasty staffers’

Loomer, a staunch supporter of Trump, reacted to a X post by Mirror journalist Mikey Smith about the newly published photographs, accusing unnamed White House staffers of deliberately feeding material to the media to damage Harp.

In her post, Loomer wrote: "Honestly, I hope President Trump fires whoever is leaking photos of Natalie Harp to the media to smear her. What bitchy behavior."

She then defended Harp's position inside Trump's inner circle, saying the aide is dedicated to the president and that Trump appreciates her work.

Loomer added: "Natalie is dedicated to President Trump and he loves her."

The conservative activist also revealed she has personally spent time with Trump and Harp and has heard the president praise the aide's work.

"Every time I have been with @POTUS and Natalie Harp, he gushes over how great she is at her job," Loomer wrote.

She went on to recall an occasion at Trump's Bedminster golf club when, according to her, Trump told her: "I will never get rid of her" while thanking Loomer and Harp for their loyalty.

Loomer's message ended with a warning aimed at the staffers she believes are behind the stories.

"So good luck to the nasty staffers who are planting these stories about Natalie. She’s not going anywhere. Trump is lucky to have her."

Why Natalie Harp is facing scrutiny

Harp, 35, has attracted attention for her unusually close working relationship with Trump. She has been nicknamed the "human printer" because she is reported to frequently print out favorable news coverage and selected polling figures for the president. Her role has consequently been described as involving the filtering and presentation of information reaching Trump.

Reports have also focused on private letters Harp allegedly left for the president.

One letter published by The Daily Beast addressed the 2023 incident in Scotland and included an unusually personal apology to Trump.

Harp reportedly wrote that she was sorry "if I was an embarrassment walking the course in Scotland."

She continued: "If there is anything else I have done to cause you trouble, please forgive me...I want things to always be right between us....you are all that matters to me. I don't want to ever let you down. Thank you for being my Guardian and Protector in this Life."

Another reported passage read: "You are all that matters to me," while Harp also wrote, "I don't ever want to let you down...I want to bring you joy."

The intensely personal language has fueled speculation about the nature of the relationship, although the available material does not by itself establish a romantic relationship between Trump and Harp.

Newly published photos show Harp chasing Trump's golf cart

The latest development came when photographs published by the Mirror show the incident described in Harp's letter.

The images were taken on May 2, 2023, during Trump's visit to Turnberry in Ayrshire. Trump can be seen driving his golf cart away from the course's "Halfway House," while Harp appears to be running uphill behind him.

The photographs provide a visual counterpart to an incident that had previously been known largely through Harp's written account.

In the letter, Harp reportedly explained why she had been walking rather than riding in a cart.

"The first day I was told there were no carts, and people walked, which is why I walked."

She subsequently appeared concerned that following Trump on foot may have upset or embarrassed him, prompting the apology.
