The film follows Iris, a woman who joins her boyfriend Josh and their friends at a lake house. As the story progresses, she learns she is not human. Instead, she is an artificial intelligence companion rented from a tech company. The plot explores her reaction to this discovery.

Sophie Thatcher plays the lead role of Iris, and Jack Quaid plays her boyfriend Josh. Other cast members include Lukas Gage, Megan Suri, Harvey Guillén and Rupert Friend. Drew Hancock wrote and directed the film. He is known for My Dead Ex.
