Comedian Adam Sandler to receive 2023 Mark Twain Award for American Humour

Renowned comedian and actor Adam Sandler has been selected to be honoured with the 2023 Mark Twain Prize for American Humour, which is one of the most prestigious awards in comedy. The 56-year-old actor will receive his award in a gala ceremony scheduled to take place at the John F Kennedy Centre in Washington on March 19, 2023. Adam Sandler is in news for his praiseworthy work in the recent Netflix film ‘Hustle’. Premiered in June, this basketball drama has fetched Sandler the Performer Tribute Award at the 32nd annual Gotham Awards in November.

Named after the 19th-century novelist Samuel Clemens, who is popularly known as Mark Twain, this award is given to those prominent personalities who have contribution to American society in the field of humour.
