Colorado club shooting: Suspected attacker identified as Anderson Lee Aldrich
Anderson Lee Aldrich, 22 years old, was identified as the suspect, who allegedly killed five people at a Colorado gay club before being apprehended by two revelers.

Officials said the shooting happened late Saturday inside Club Q, an LGBTQ-themed establishment that was hosting a drag performance and dance party. According to authorities, Aldrich, who is aged 22, entered the club just before midnight and immediately began firing fire while infiltrating the venue's interior, according to a press conference held on Sunday morning. He had been hurt and was being placed in protective custody at a local hospital.
According to Colorado Springs Police Chief Adrian Vasquez, at least two brave people inside the club approached and battled the perpetrator, preventing him from killing and injuring others.
Police arrived three minutes after receiving a 911 call and apprehended the man two minutes later, according to authorities.
Investigators were looking into Aldrich's motivation as they considered hate crime charges against the suspect, who was thought to be a lone gunman. According to Fourth Judicial District Attorney Michael Allen, every person, regardless of who they are, has the right to be free from fear and physical harm, and actions taken to instill fear in specific communities will not be tolerated in our community. According to police, the victims' identities will not be released until their families have been notified.
