Amazon Web Services confirmed the issue originated in its “US-EAST-1 Region” based in northern Virginia. AWS confirmed that the issue was linked to its DynamoDB service, which powers much of the online infrastructure used by these platforms. "During this time, customers may be unable to create or update Support Cases," said the update.
"Engineers were immediately engaged and are actively working on both mitigating the issue, and fully understanding the root cause."
