Cody Johnson is getting ready for a major return to live performances with the announcement of an extensive 2026 tour across North America. The country star’s return follows a challenging period marked by a serious health challenge that compelled him to cancel the remainder of his 2025 shows.
Johnson announced that over 30 tour dates are scheduled across the United States and Canada, with shows from February through September 2026. The tour extends on earlier return plans and promises an energetic comeback to live performances for fans who were left disappointed when his 2025 shortened schedule.
Tour Features Rotating Lineup of Country Stars
The 2026 tour will showcase a rotating lineup of special guests on select dates, offering fans a distinctive experience from city to city. Confirmed performers joining Johnson on different stops are Clint Black, Randy Houser, Scotty McCreery, Kip Moore, Ian Munsick, and Jon Pardi.Further support throughout the tour will arrive from Drew Baldridge, Carter Faith, Alexandra Kay, Walker Montgomery, and Emily Ann Roberts. The singer has chosen a revolving support format, enabling various artists to appear across the run.
Health Scare Forced 2025 Tour Cancellation
Johnson was compelled to step away from touring last fall after sustaining a ruptured eardrum undergoing treatment from a severe respiratory and sinus infection. At the time, he shared that emergency surgery was needed, after weeks of vocal rest to prevent permanent damage. The health scare resulted in several shows being postponed or canceled, which included stops in Pittsburgh, Birmingham, and Las Vegas, as well as high-profile presence at Boots in the Bayou in Louisiana and the Hondo Rodeo in Phoenix, where he was set to both perform and compete.Fortunately, Johnson’s recovery has been successful. After initially confirming replacement schedules for Pittsburgh and Birmingham and adding six new shows, the singer has currently extended the tour further by adding eight additional cities, that includes Milwaukee, Sioux Falls, Grand Rapids, Jacksonville, Oklahoma City, Knoxville, Saint Paul, and Tacoma. These dates extend the tour through late summer and early fall.
