Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has become the biggest seller of the year in the United States, overtaking Elden Ring. Earlier, Elden Ring topped the chart in March and became the country's best-selling game of the year. Although it seemed like Elden Ring would retain its spot due to its whirlwind popularity, it has been ousted from the top position by Modern Warfare 2. However, the exact sales figures for Modern Warfare 2 have not been revealed by Activision yet.

Since Elden Ring had already become one of the top ten best-selling games of all time in the United States, Modern Warfare 2 has undoubtedly entered the list. But its position in the list is open to guessing.
