Coca Cola recall: Three of Coca-Cola’s most popular soft drinks, Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, and Sprite, are being recalled due to possible contamination concerns, revealed the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as per a report.

Federal officials said the recall was initiated after the potential presence of foreign material was detected in some cans, as per a USA Today report. The FDA classified the move as a Class II recall, meaning the affected products could cause temporary or medically reversible health effects, though the risk of serious harm is considered remote, as per the report.



Where were the recalled Coca-Cola products distributed

The recall, launched by Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages LLC on October 3, covers more than 4,000 cans distributed across parts of Texas, including the McAllen/Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio areas, as per the USA Today report. The FDA formally issued its recall classification several weeks later, as per the report.

Which Coca-Cola products are affected by the recall

According to the FDA, the recall involves approximately 1,115 units of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar 12-ounce cans in 12- and 35-packs, 2,322 units of Coca-Cola 12-ounce cans in 24- and 35-packs, and 791 units of Sprite 12-ounce cans in 12- and 35-packs, as per a Fox Business report.

A Coca-Cola spokesperson told Today that all affected products were pulled from store shelves by October 10 out of “an abundance of caution,” as per the report. The company emphasized that the recall was limited to the Texas region and did not extend to other states, as per the Fox Business report.
