Coca Cola is likely to bring back its classic diet cherry coke four years after it was taken off the shelves. Diet Coke has been commonly sold in a variety of flavors and it's like a classic soda fountain beverage where the consumers are allowed to choose from any flavor on offer.

Digital media outlet Parade, in January 2025, reported that Diet Cherry Coke, which was launched in 1985 and was discontinued in 2020, is expected to make a return to shelves with a retro packaging in the US during the summer season

A popular social media creator Snack-O-Lator shared a post on Instagram about the cherry diet coke claiming its comeback. The creator’s post suggested that the cherry coke is making a comeback better than ever. “Diet Cherry Coke is returning for a limited time with retro packaging!,” the post read.

“It's been years since the OG Diet Cherry Coke has been out, so I'm really looking forward to getting it again,” the post further stated.

According to the Coca Cola website, Diet coke cherry targeted adult consumers and it contained no sugar and no calories. It also does not have any bubbles or effervescence. It has an adult cola taste with a hint of cherry. There is however no confirmation as to when this diet coke will return.
