Storyline and Cast

Cobra Kai is a spin-off of "The Karate Kid" franchise. It follows Johnny Lawrence, played by William Zabka, who is an unemployed handyman. He rescues a bullied kid, Miguel, and decides to restart the Cobra Kai dojo. The series is set 34 years after Daniel LaRusso's victory over Johnny Lawrence in the 1984 All-Valley Karate Tournament. The cast includes Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Martin Kove, Xolo Maridueña, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Peyton List, Gianni DeCenzo, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio, Dallas Dupree Young, Yuji Okumoto, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin Santopietro, and Oona O’Brien.

Production Team

The showrunners of "Cobra Kai" are Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg. They executive produce through Counterbalance Entertainment. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka also serve as executive producers alongside Will Smith, James Lassiter, Caleeb Pinkett, and Susan Ekins. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
