Kwon’s violent death has led Kreese to focus on making amends. He leaves Korea and signs off on Cobra Kai’s reentry into the relaunched Sekai Taikai. Kreese believes that this will help Tory (Peyton List) potentially launch her own career in competitive karate.

An emotional reunion with Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) follows, where Kreese apologises for attacking Johnny years ago after a loss. The duo later embrace tearfully and end their relationship on a hopeful note. Lawrence has been named as the new new sensei of Cobra Kai.

The martial arts teacher felt the need to end the threat posed by Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) to Cobra Kai. He meets with Silver on a yacht and the duo fight, knocking over a portable gas pump. Kreese uses his cigar to light the yacht on fire, blowing up himself and Silver. Kreese's ultimate sacrifice neutralises the last threat to Cobra Kai.

Cobra Kai spin-off?

Season six marks the end of Cobra Kai. While a spin-off has not been approved yet, there are expectations that another show may be greenlit. Series creators Josh Heald, Hayden Schlossberg and Jon Hurwitz have revealed some potential ideas for a new show including one titled Binary Brothers. The series would follow Hawk (Jacob Bertrand) and Demetri (Gianni DeCenzo) as they tackle student life at Cal Tech, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Meanwhile, Karate Kid: Legends is set to release later this year, marking another entry into the film’s universe. Starring Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio, the movie also features Ben Wang and Pat Morita.
