The characters have opened up about their characters for season 5. The character Tory Nichols, played by Peyton List in Season 4, had won all the tournaments. In Season 5, she is going to be mentoring someone who plans to be a martial arts champion. Peyton is excited to take on this cherished role of mentoring. Peyton continues with the show primarily because she has to help the new character develop into a martial arts champion. Jacob plays the "Hawk," better known as Eli Moskowitz, and he agrees with Peyton and talks about his character.
For this season, Hawk has to begin from the top and not work his way up from the ground. That makes Jacob feel very grounded about his character and his excitement to play it knows no bounds. The plot is that everyone works together to defeat Johnny Lawrence, played by William Zabka. This season, Miguel Diaz will play a more mature character. The actor reprising the role is Xolo Mariduena, who will be getting to learn a lot about his onscreen character. In short, most of the characters in this season will be very tough and unflinching. The show is to begin screening on September 9 on Netflix.
