Clorox recalls Pine-Sol cleaning products over possibility of infection-causing bacteria's presence

The recall includes Scented Multi-Surface Cleaners of Pine-Sol in the scents Sparkling Wave, Lavender Clean, Orange Energy and Lemon Fresh, and CloroxPro, which is the All-Purpose Cleaners of Pine-Sol in the scents Sparkling Wave, Lavender Clean, Orange Energy, Lemon Fresh, Clorox Professional, and Lemon Fresh in multiple available sizes, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recall excludes its renowned real pine-scented Pine-Sol, which is the company's only disinfecting product.
As stated by the committee, the items might contain germs like Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a bacterium most commonly found in soil and water. Bacteria can enter the body by inhalation, the eyes, or a breach in the skin. According to the commission, people with healthy immune systems are normally unaffected by the bacterium.
Testing revealed germs in the recalled items manufactured between January 2021 and September 2022.
The items are identified by an expiry code beginning with "A4" followed by a five-digit number less than 22249. There are no reports of sickness, and the California-based business stated that the recall is being issued out of caution.
