Clint Eastwood offers tips that help him stay fit, work even in 90s

Legendary actor Clint Eastwood went on to say that it is not just staying away from bad stuff, but also having a strict fitness regime. The fitness regime has been passed down in his family, and his son calls it the Eastwood Code.

Eminent Hollywood actor and director Clint Eastwood has offered top health advice and revealed how he maintained his fitness even in old age. The 92-year-old legendary actor has featured in more than 60 movies, and most of them have famously been Westerns. He had no intention of slowing down as the years rolled by.

He told GQ before his 80th birthday that he was not one of the guys who liked to check out early. However, when it's time to check out, you do that. He wants to take care of himself. Clint Eastwood has tried to stay away from habits that are bad for his health. Clint Eastwood Sr., his father, died of a heart attack when he was 63 years old and smoked.

The legendary actor went on to say that it is not just staying away from bad stuff, but also having a strict fitness regime. The fitness regime has been passed down in his family, and his son calls it the Eastwood Code.


Clint Eastwood does not consume alcohol and gave instructions on how to stay healthy and fit when he spoke to Muscle and Fitness.

His instructions include:
  • Keeping a scale in the bathroom.
  • Being optimistic.
  • Getting rest.
  • Eating raw vegetables and fruits.
  • Having vitamins.
  • Avoid excess alcohol.
  • Skip the sugary beverages.

He once stated that his diet consists of 10% cheat meals and 90% healthy meals. The star did not hold any secrets and gave his tips away. He stated that good and healthy proteins like chicken and salmon, followed by broccoli, lots of greens, asparagus, and veggies, are essential.

Eastwood's son said his dad never gave him a cent and made him work for everything. He said that Clint is a machine about exercise and food. Clint taught his son how to lift when he was 14 or 15, such as the bench press.

He concluded by saying that Clint made it very clear that the form was necessary rather than piling up the plates.
