As billionaires give away expensive items from diamond-encrusted designer handbags to five-figure overnight resort stays to a beautiful Tuscan vineyard worth $5 million on the occasion of Christmas, they can also think of gifting away the $2 billion underwater superyacht. Christian Gumpold, Chief Executive at the Graz-based design firm Migaloo wants multi-millionaires and billionaires to buy this Migaloo M5 submersible.

The underwater superyacht is a 541-foot-long luxury submersible, capable of going 820 feet underwater and staying submerged for four weeks. It can accommodate 20 passengers and 40 crew members. It can be great fun as the guests can enjoy riding jet skis, kite surfing, paddleboarding, setting off in one of two six-person mini-submarines, or taking a ride on a helicopter.

No buyers after Titan fiasco

Perhaps this is why Migaloo Submarines this week posted on its Facebook page that it wants to sell Limo Sub Tender, which allows you to "step onboard your Submersible Superyacht — unseen and undetected." The Migaloo M5 also has space for two pools, a jacuzzi, and a cafe.

Ahpo superyacht sold for $362 million

According to the New York Post, while the Migaloo M5 has yet to take off, the 378-foot-long Ahpo superyacht hit the headlines earlier this year when it sold for $362 million.

A professional-hockey-player-turned-billionaire businessman Patrick Dovigi bought it. The superyacht can accommodate up to 16 guests in its eight 'immense staterooms', which include a duplex primary suite featuring its gym and an additional four staff cabins for the crew of 36.
