Boston Red Sox's Chris Sale has accepted that he did not behave in a mature way while handling his rough midgame outing in Worcester on Wednesday. Sale's acknowledgement has come after a video became viral, wherein he could be seen destroying a television hanging in Polar Park's tunnel.

However, as per Dan Roche of WBZ-TV, Sale has made amends for all the damage he did on Wednesday. Roche reported that the Boston Red Sox's ace had spent about $6,000 on lunch and dinner for players, coaches, and WooSox's staff members. Roche added that Sale even paid for the TV, which was already in a broken condition.

Earlier, while interacting with reporters, Sale had accepted that his midgame behaviour on Wednesday was similar to a "seven-year-old temper tantrum," and he "acted like an idiot." However, he did not tender any apology for his behaviour. Sale clarified that his sudden outburst resulted from his passion for his game; hence, he does not have any regrets for Wednesday's incident.

He also said that he was unaware of being recorded; otherwise, he would not have reacted in that particular way. The 33-year-old star confirmed the reports of him spending money to amend the damages he caused. Sale stated that he had bought a new television set worth $1,100.

Earlier, during the Wednesday game, Sale could last only 3.2 innings, and he was pulled after giving up a bases-loaded walk. Additionally, he also struggled while dealing with his command, which caused him to give up five free passes. He also struck out five batters in the WooSox's 4-2 loss.

Notably, Sale has signed a $145 million contract with the Boston Red Sox for five years, half of which is still remaining. Besides, the ace player has pitched only 34 times in the last three and half seasons.
