Chris Evans named '2022 Sexiest Man Alive' by People magazine, 'Captain America' star says his mom 'will be so happy'

Chris Evans, the heartthrob who has made huge fans with his films, has been named the Sexiest Man Alive 2022 by People magazine. From portraying multiple roles to being a superhero, Chris Evans has come a long way. Another feather in his cap is the honor of being named the sexiest man alive.

On Tuesday, Chris Evans was awarded the title of the talk show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Though Evans couldn't be physically present to collect the honor, he thanked the magazine and his fans virtually through a pre-recorded video.






In the video, 2016's winner, Dwayne Johnson, presented the title to Chris Evans.

When interviewed about the title, Chris Evans revealed that his close friends might tease him for this achievement, but he will not shy away from humbly bragging about it. He added that his mother was over the moon and, despite being proud of Evans' achievements, now she could brag about the title.

Meanwhile, Chris Evans's mother, Lisa, said she was not surprised, and that their family would be overjoyed.
