China builds country's first space station from 2020 to 2022. Here's how

China carried out a series of missions from 2020 to 2022 to build its first space station. These missions include three major module missions, four cargo spacecraft missions, and four manned spacecraft missions.

In the month of May 2020, the first maiden flight by China's Long March-5B carrier rocket was completed, and then, the rocket launched the Tianhe core module of the China Space Station (CSS) in the year April 2021. Later, from just a mere dash, the transformation of the CSS took place, and it took an L-shaped structure, then came to its existing T-shaped structure.

In a significant step toward, the completion of the CSS was recorded on November 3 with the successful completion of in-orbit transposition by China's Mengtian lab module, resulting in the development of a basic T-shaped configuration.


The Shenzhou-15 manned space mission was launched on November 29. Meanwhile, on November 30, a group of six Chinese astronauts gathered at the CSS, and on December 03, the group completed the first-ever in-orbit crew rotation.



The CSS is known for its largest configuration, as it is formed of three spaceships and three modules. The configuration took place after the arrival of the Shenzhou-15 spaceship.

Meanwhile, it is expected that at the end of 2022, the Chinese space station will be officially completed. With the completion of the Chinese space station, opportunities will be provided to international astronauts and scientists to work and live on the CSS.
