Chief Justice shields legitimacy of US Supreme Court

Chief Justice John Roberts supports the legitimacy of the supreme court, which interprets the constitution. He said that the role of courts should not be questioned merely due to people’s disagreement with the court.

Chief Justice Roberts took a stand for the authority of the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Of the nine Republican nominees, eight have a Catholic pedigree, including Roberts.

After his last appearance when the US Supreme Court turned down Wade vs. Roe, Robert was seen for the first time recently. When asked to think about his last year in court, he put forward his views, stating that in recent times, many critics have risen against the courts. There have been controversies about the authority of courts, which he remarked as a mistake and did not specify any critics or particular cases.

While being interviewed by a pair of judges from the Denver-based US Circuit Court of Appeals (10th) at the Colorado Springs conference. He added that the previous years were unusual because of the coronavirus pandemic, during which the courts were closed. He considered it "gut-wrenching" and full of hardships.
