Chief Justice John Roberts consented to temporarily put on hold a lower court order demanding the release of former President Donald Trump's tax returns by the Internal Revenue Service to a Democratic-led House committee.

A lower court ruling demanding the release of former President Donald Trump's tax returns by the Internal Revenue Service for a Democratic-led House committee was agreed to be temporarily put on hold by Chief Justice John Roberts.

The House Ways and Means Committee was supposed to get the tax returns later this week.
