To play, customers must download or update the Chick-fil-A app, create an account, and participate each Tuesday; rewards are available while supplies last and are subject to standard terms and conditions.
Starting at midnight EST on July 15, customers can participate by playing new mini-games released every Tuesday during the promotion window. Each week, users join the franchise’s famous herd of cows—Sarge, Daisy, and Carrots—on undercover “missions” to foil the franchise’s fictitious rival, Circus Burger. Successful completion of these missions will unlock surprise complimentary menu items, including crowd favorites such as medium waffle fries, chocolate chunk cookies, and five-count Chick-fil-A Nuggets.
The specific menu items include popular favorites such as free medium waffle fries, a chocolate chunk cookie, or a five-count Chick-fil-A Nuggets. Each week’s food reward is a surprise and is revealed upon successful mission completion, with the reward automatically added to the winner’s Chick-fil-A One account.
The campaign also extends beyond the app. Younger guests can watch a four-minute animated movie, “Udder Chaos,” available on the Chick-fil-A Play app and YouTube, while families can listen to new episodes of the “Cow Tales Podcast” and discover more secret missions. For fans who love memorabilia, Chick-fil-A has released limited summer merchandise, including reversible bucket hats and themed pickleball sets.
Dustin Britt, Chick-fil-A’s executive director of brand strategy, said the campaign is designed to engage all ages:
"The Cows have been a much-loved part of Chick-fil-A's story for nearly 30 years, and we enjoy finding new ways to celebrate them along with our Guests...it’s a summer celebration with something for all ages".
Since its initial launch in 2023, Code Moo has offered millions of food rewards to players, with up to 2.5 million free menu items distributed each week during past promotions. Players are also eligible for a grand prize chance — one participant could win free Chick-fil-A for a year.
