More About Kyle Sheffield

Chicago Fire is an action drama about the rescue personnel and firefighters of Firehouse 51, Chicago Fire Department. Teddy Sears plays Kyle Sheffield who is a crew member and the chaplain of the Firehouse. He is directly attached to the Fire Department and is a religious clergyman.

He was first introduced in Season 7 with a romantic angle with Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer). While he has featured in many episodes, his first was entitled as "All the Proof." Sylvie and Kyle have their own on-offs in their relationship. Kyle fears he is unable to fulfill a chaplain's duty to the team and the two do not get along well and break –up after a while. The two even got engaged once but had separated before the marriage as Sylvie realized she wants her to freestyle Chicago life.

Kyle comes to the fore again with "Hold On Tight." Derek Haas, the executive producer, says the episode will start as a "relentless pace" for the remaining of the season. The 11th season might be the most brutal of them all, and it seems Kyle has returned to make it more intriguing.
