The possession began after the Bears’ offense had opened with two consecutive three-and-out drives in the first quarter. On the third series, Bagent completed multiple critical passes, including a third-down conversion to rookie wide receiver Luther Burden. Rookie running back Kyle Monangai contributed several physical runs, advancing the ball into scoring position.

Facing defensive pressure near the goal line, Bagent delivered a high pass to the back of the end zone. Alexander secured the throw with a leaping grab and maintained possession while getting both feet inbounds for the touchdown.
Bagent completed all but one of his pass attempts on the drive, marking a rebound from his slow start. Alexander recorded two receptions for seven yards during the game’s first half, both coming in red-zone situations.
At halftime, the Bears trailed the Dolphins 14-7 in the Chicago Bears preseason contest.
