“Cheers” and “Look Who’s Talking” star Kirstie Alley dies at the age of 71
Kirstie Alley, who was best known for her role on the 1980s and 1990s comedy show Cheers, died of cancer at the age of 71.

Kirstie Alley, a TV and movie star best known for her roles in Cheers, Veronica's Closet, and Look Who's Talking, has died at the age of 71.
Her family released a statement that, "We are sad to tell you that our amazing, and loving mother has died after a battle with cancer that was recently diagnosed”.
"She was surrounded by her closest family members, with her never-ending joy of life and whatever adventures lie ahead”.
Alley won an Emmy award and a Golden Globe award for her role on the popular TV show as a pub manager and waitress. The star has also been in the Look Who's Talking movie series and the TV comedy show Veronica's Closet.
Her family did not specify what type of cancer she had, they only stated that cancer was diagnosed recently and was treated at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida.
