Charlie Kirk’s wife Erika sobs, kisses her husband’s hand for the final time as he lies in casket; watch viral video

Erika Kirk, the wife of right-wing and conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk, said a final goodbye to her husband, who was assassinated at Utah Valley University during an event on Wednesday (September 10, 2025). In a video circulating on social media, released by her on Instagram, Erika was seen sobbing in tears and kissing her husband’s hand and expressing her love in a quivering voice for the final time as he lay in his casket.

“The world is evil. But our Savior. Our Lord. Our God. Не...Не is so good. I will never have the words. Ever. The sound of this widow weeping echos throughout this world like a battle cry.

I have no idea what any of this means. But baby I know you do and so does our Lord. They have no idea what they just ignited within this wife. If they thought my husband’s mission was big now..you have no idea. You. All of you. Will never. Ever. Forget my husband @charliekirk1776 I’ll make sure of it,” the caption of the Instagram post read.


“Rest in the arms of our Lord baby as he blankets you with the words I know your heart always strived to hear, “well done My good and faithful servant,” the post further stated.

Besides Erika, Charlie Kirk, who was a close ally of US President Donald Trump, is survived by two young children. She made her first appearance two days following Kirk’s assassination and addressed the nation with eyes brimming with tears.

During her address, Erika fought back her tears and remembered her husband. She vowed to keep his legacy alive. 'My husband's voice will ring out louder than ever,' she said. Calling Charlie Kirk a 'perfect' husband and father, she recalled, 'Every day he would ask me how I can be a better husband & father. Every day.'

Standing behind a podium, Erika, who was filled with emotions, said, “My husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, for our children.” “May Charlie be received into the merciful arms of Jesus, our loving Savior,” she said.

During her speech, Erika asserted that the movement her husband built “will not die.” “If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea what you have just unleashed across this entire country,” she said.

The suspect in the killing of Charlie Kirk, identified as Tyler Robinson, was held without bail in a Utah jail on several charges, according to officials. Authorities discovered a bolt-action rifle wrapped in a towel, and inscriptions, including one that read “Hey fascist! Catch!,” were engraved on casings found with the rifle, officials said, according to CNN.
