Erika Kirk, the wife of Charlie Kirk, a right-wing and conservative political commentator who was killed during an event at Utah Valley University, made her first public appearance on Friday (September 12, 2025). In her address to the nation, Erika, who appeared teary-eyed and deeply emotional, remembered her husband and vowed to keep his legacy alive. 'My husband's voice will ring out louder than ever,' she said while fighting back tears.

Calling Charlie Kirk a 'perfect' husband and father, she recalled, 'Every day he would ask me how I can be a better husband & father. Every day.'

Standing behind a podium, Erika, who was filled with emotions, said, “My husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, for our children.” “May Charlie be received into the merciful arms of Jesus, our loving Savior,” she said.

During her speech, Erika asserted that the movement her husband built “will not die.” “If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea what you have just unleashed across this entire country,” she said. The suspect in the killing of Charlie Kirk, identified as Tyler Robinson, was held without bail in a Utah jail on several charges, according to officials.

Authorities discovered a bolt-action rifle wrapped in a towel, and inscriptions, including one that read “Hey fascist! Catch!,” were engraved on casings found with the rifle, officials said, according to CNN.

During her speech, Erika revealed that when she reached home on Thursday night (September 11, 2025), her three-year-old daughter asked, “Where’s Daddy?” “I said, ‘Baby, Daddy loves you so much,’” she recalled. “Don’t you worry. He’s on a work trip with Jesus, so he can afford your blueberry budget,” she added.

Speaking about Turning Point USA, the political organization founded by Charlie Kirk, Erika said, “I promise I’ll make Turning Point USA the biggest thing that this nation has ever seen.” The organization caters to conservative youth on American university campuses.
