Two Republican lawmakers have announced plans to introduce legislation honoring late conservative activist Charlie Kirk by minting nearly half a million silver dollar coins featuring his image and name. The proposal, shared with Fox News Digital, calls for the US Treasury to produce 400,000 silver dollar coins bearing Kirk’s likeness, along with the inscription: "Well done, good and faithful servant." The coins would be minted in 2026 and include Kirk’s full name, according to the lawmakers.

The initiative comes amid other legislative efforts to commemorate Kirk, including a bill in the Oklahoma State Senate requiring statues honoring him at all state colleges and a national proposal to recognize his birthday as a day of remembrance.

Republican Representatives August Pfluger of Texas and Abraham Hamadeh of Arizona told Fox News Digital that the bill would make Charlie Kirk, who died at age 31, the youngest American ever to appear on US currency. Pfluger described the proposal as a “fitting honour that cements his extraordinary legacy alongside presidents and founding fathers who shaped our republic.”


Pfluger added, “Charlie Kirk was a conservative titan whose transformational impact on millions of Americans deserves permanent recognition alongside our nation's greatest leaders and influential figures.”

How Kirk got shoot and the aftermath

Charlie Kirk, 31, was fatally shot on September 10 during a question-and-answer session at Utah Valley University as part of his American Comeback Tour. A suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, is in custody and faces charges including aggravated murder.

News and videos of Kirk’s shooting spread rapidly across the nation, prompting widespread mourning and condemnation of the violence from leaders and public figures across the political spectrum. Most members of the Trump administration attended Kirk’s memorial in Arizona last weekend, where Vice President JD Vance and President Donald Trump delivered speeches honoring him.
