Charlie Kirk assassination: Is it a bush or a person hiding? Viral images from the building across Kirk’s tent spark more conspiracy theories

The assassination of conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, in Utah Valley University on Wednesday has sparked widespread outrage on social media. Users from all political fronts are coming forward to condemn the violent nature of the crime.

Some users on X (formerly Twitter) are constantly questioning the FBI, tagging FBI Director Kash Patel to delve into deeper investigation. Another set of users are also finding out clues in viral images and videos to further escalate the investigation.

One such person has posted an image of the event that Kirk was attending at the university for his American Comeback Tour from a top angle. The image captures two tents, including Kirk’s, people gathered all around and a campus building right across Kirk's tent.


What’s strange is that in a not so special image, a bush can be seen at the top of the building from afar. When zoomed in, the bush closely resembles a silhouette of a human sitting coiled up.

This structure’s position is also vital to the claim made by social media users that suspect the image to be of the alleged killer. It is right across the tent where Charles Kirk was sitting and debating with students.

Soon, the image and the claim gained a lot of attention; when another user posted a high resolution version of the same image clearly showing a plant with flowers in a pot, stating “Resolution matters”.

Observers of the situation were quick to question the credibility of the high resolution, edited image stating that it is more likely an “AI image” and the real one still captures a suspicious structure.

A manhunt is currently ongoing for the killer of conservative activist and influential Trump ally. It's not clear if police have any leads on the gunman - but authorities don't seem to think they're still on campus, reported BBC.
