Busting the rumours
After gunshot claims surfaced, the police launched an investigation. However, no instance of shooting or gunfire was discovered.
Some of the concertgoers told the police what they had witnessed. One person, Ian Hansen, said he didn’t know whether he had heard a gunshot. However, he saw people running toward the concert stage. He added that just when the commotion started and people started coming his way, others followed suit. Everyone started running out of the concert to escape whatever was going on.
Another individual, a reporter, stated that people started shouting about a possible shooting. Then everyone ran out, climbed fences, and did everything to exit the concert. The police, however, did not find anything.
Why the mass panic?
