Champions to clash at 150th edition of British Open Golf Tournament 2022 from July 14. Read details here
The top 50 players, who will play the British Open Golf Tournament 2022 from July 14, were showcased recently. It is the only PGA outside the United States, and it is being played at St. Andrew's Golf Course, one of the oldest courses.

It is a great opportunity for Rory McIlroy, who would be trying to win the trophy while representing Northern Ireland. He is also the top betting favorite this season despite not being able to register any win since his last in 2014.
Xander Schauffele, too, would look to clinch victory as this would hopefully be his first shot at a major PGA. Xander is the most sought-after name to observe this season because of his excellent form.
Then the one and only, Tiger Woods would show his prowess in this major game and hope to get his title. It maybe his last shot at the Home of Golf.
Being a Major PGA, this is also the final major and also the 150th Open Championship that will go down with a bagful of memories after completion. Knowing that this course is challenging to play, the players must be calm and move their game around. A slight miss would bring the white ball into some rough, which all players would surely want to avoid. It would be vital for them to focus on the greens to move on with their game. The accurate ones would, of course, move towards a grand finale, which will be a treat to watch as mistakes are bound to happen.
At this tournament, the top 10 players to watch out for are:
Xander Schauffele: He is currently the hot property that everyone would have their eyes on. His strike rate and specialty for not going beyond two putts will have him in good stead.
Justin Thomas: St Andrew's would be having their eyes focussed on this player as he is a top contender for the crown.
Tony Finau: His past performance would undoubtedly raise a few eyebrows, and watching this golfer would be a treat.
John Rahm is currently the striker that needs to be watched. He has been getting a few birdies of late, and it would be great to see his performance improve here.
Matt Fitzpatrick: The champion at US Open in June has the opportunity to strike a back-to-back championship, and people would love to watch him play.
Will Zalatoris: A good accurate player, he certainly has the class to finish an early outing as is needed in this course.
Jordan Spieth: We could have ranked him higher due to his performance, but he is being ranked lower due to his high volatility. He needs to focus on the tee a bit more.
Patrick Cantlay: Though he has struggled in the earlier majors, he could be the tournament's dark horse due to his accuracy.
Collin Morikawa (12), Cameron Smith (15) and Tiger Woods (25) will be the other non-ranked players to watch out for in this tournament.
