Cary Elwes of Princess Bride hospitalized after rattlesnake bite

People’s beloved star, Cary Elwes, who played the leading role of Westley in the film Princess Bride was recently airlifted to a nearby medical facility following a rattlesnake bite in California.

Cary Elwes, who played a leading role in the famous movie Princess Bride was recently hospitalised in California. According to sources, he was bitten by a rattlesnake.

There were a lot of speculations about his hospitalisation. On Monday, Cary Elwes broke the silence and took his social media to let his fans know that he was not bit by an ROUS but by a rattlesnake. This ROUS reference was made by the Princess Bride star regarding “Rodent Of Unusual size” from his 1987 movie co-starred by Robin Wright.

Even Cary Elwes uploaded a picture of his bitten hand on social media. His hand visibly appeared to be swollen with a black and blue finger in the picture.


The Princess Bride star said that he’s incredibly grateful to the staff of Malibu Urgent Care, LA County Fire Dept and all the medical staff and professional professionals at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. The latter deeply cared for him at the right time. Cary Elwes tweeted that the medical staff treated him with care. He added that he’s now recovering, and all the credit goes to those wonderful folks.

Adding to this rattlesnake bit incident, as per sources, Cary Elwes was working in his backyard when he was bit by a rattlesnake.
