Cardinals’ Kyle Murray leaves MNF for MRI on knee. Know what happened

The game was between the Arizona Cardinals and New England Patriots when the quarterback Kyler Murray wobbled on the pitch with the ball in his hand, and the next moment he had to be taken off the field.

Kyle Murray looked good as he dodged a few players to rush with the ball towards the opposite end and touch down. Murray was looking confident running and dodging with the ball in hand and had gone about three yards towards the opposite end when the player was seen to wobble suddenly.

Just as a player from the Patriots confronted him for a tackle, Murray was seen wincing in pain. Murray’s leg went haywire, and he writhed in pain on the pitch as his teammates surrounded him and tried to comfort him. The player was finally moved out of the grounds on a cart, with the medics sure that an MRI needed to be done.

The ligament might have had a tear, which would mean an operation, to begin with, followed by rest. This means the player would be out of action for a long time.

The news conference after the match saw the Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury in a grim mood about Murray’s leg and confided that it didn’t look good. It can be imagined what a non-contact injury could do, and most players suffer immensely from such muscle or ligament wear and tear. Kyler suffered a hamstring injury earlier, which has completely devastated him. Murray was sitting in the cart with a trainer when he was seen in tears upon entering the tunnel.

Murray handles the attack on behalf of the team, and it is very tough for the team to think of a suitable replacement. Josh Jones, who holds the left, said that having Murray on the pitch is a big advantage as the player contributes to the team’s victories. The team hopes that he will be fine soon. Murray was picked up from Oklahoma for $230.5 million, a contract till 2028.
