The Carabao Cup quarterfinals are set to start this evening, with eight teams battling against each other to secure a place in the semi-final draw.

Manchester United will be the overwhelming favourites to defeat League One's Charlton Athletic at Old Trafford, Manchester. Erik ten Hag's team is three rounds away from reclaiming the EFL Cup.

Newcastle have been eyeing their first trophy since a long time now. In order to win their first trophy since 1955, Newcastle must defeat Leicester, who travels far up north to St James' Park.


Pep Guardiola will enter Southampton's quarter-final match against Manchester City as a massive underdog, looking for his fifth victory since joining the team in 2016.

The Carabao Cup semi-final draw will take place after the conclusion of Southampton vs Manchester City, which is scheduled for January 11, 8 pm. Henceforth, the semi-final draw of the Carabao Cup is likely to take place at 10:30 pm.

Where to watch the Carabao Cup semi-final draw?

Southampton vs Manchester City, the draw will be shown live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football.
On the Sky Sports website and the Sky Go app, Sky subscribers can watch the draw live.
Without a Sky Sports subscription, viewers can watch the draw and the game with a NOW TV day pass which comes at £11.98, or a monthly pass costing £33.99.
Moreover, the Carabao Cup semi-finals will be split into two legs, with each team playing one leg at home. The first legs will occur in the week of January 23, while the second legs will occur in the week of January 30, a week later. If a semi-final is tied after both games, extra time and, if necessary, penalties will be used to break the tie.

The two winners of the semi-finals will compete in the final on February 26, 2023 at Wembley.
