'Captain America: Brave New World' to hit theaters on this date, check details

Following the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike, Disney has revealed the new release dates for a number of its planned projects. The new release date for Captain America: Brave New World on the big screen is February 14, 2025. The movie had already seen two postponements as it was scheduled to be projected on the big screens on May 3, 2024. But even the date was pushed to July 26, 2024.

As the movie Captain America: Brave New World experiences postponement of the release for the third time, Director Shawn Levy also expressed uncertainty about his film's release.

If we take a look at the cast of Captain America: Brave New World, it is confirmed that Anthony Mackie will play the character of Sam Wilson, who took over the mantle of Captain America from Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumbly reprise their roles from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the Disney+ series that saw Mackie's Wilson grappling with the idea of Captain America's legacy, while two surprising names reprise their roles from an MCU film long forgotten:


Tim Blake Nelson and Liv Tyler will again return as Samuel "Leader" Sterns and Betty Ross, the daughter of Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross.

Thunderbolt Ross, which was earlier played by the late William Hurt, will now be played by the veteran and the talented Harrison Ford.

Harrison Ford while speaking to a journalist about his role as Thunderbolt Ross expressed his happiness and said that he was very happy to be a part of the franchise and hoped that people would love his acting. He said that he had watched all the actors who were having a good time in Marvel movies. "I like doing something different from what I’ve done and pleasing people. So I’ll try a piece of that,” he added.

Besides 'Captain America: Brave New World, Mufasa: The Lion King's released date has been pushed to another five months to December 20, 2024. Other movies include that have been postponed are Snow White, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 which is set to clash with Mufasa: The Lion King.
