Elon Musk is our president, Cameron Diaz says in a trolling attack on Trump. Cameron Diaz is on her first film press tour in over ten years, having returned to acting after an 11-year hiatus in Netflix's "Back in Action."

In a video interview with Complex, the "Charlie's Angels" favorite joined co-star Jamie Foxx and made fun of president-elect Donald Trump by claiming that Elon Musk is the real president. Musk is friends with Trump; last year, the owner of X and founder of SpaceX gave millions to Trump's presidential campaign, as quoted in a report by Variety.

Why Did Diaz Troll Trump and Musk?

Foxx questioned Diaz about online conspiracies at one point in their interview. She responded by sharing her opinions on extraterrestrial life and citing a theory that suggests all future humans will reside on Mars.

"If you consider the state of technology today, we sit in front of a screen and don't have to talk to each other," Diaz stated. "And since Elon Musk is now our president, we all know that we're leaving the planet,” as quoted in a report by Variety.

After hearing Diaz's remark, Foxx was stunned. In amusing shock, the camera panned to the Oscar winner.
Trump tasked Musk with "dismantling" the U.S. bureaucracy shortly after defeating Kamala Harris in the election. He also claimed that Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, a former Republican primary candidate, would offer the administration outside counsel from a "Department of Government Efficiency." The abbreviation DOGE was a reference to the cryptocurrency Dogecoin, which has been linked to Musk.

In a statement at the time, Trump said of Musk and Ramaswamy, "Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my administration to dismantle government bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure federal agencies." "It may turn into the "Manhattan Project" of our era."

Trump said the duo's work would conclude in time for the country's 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026. Musk claimed last October he could cut $2 trillion from the federal budget.

Diaz's role opposite Jamie Foxx in Netflix's spy action comedy "Back in Action" is her first acting gig in 11 years. She said she doesn't know how she views it, but she reserves the right to say no to doing a movie ever again and yes if she decides to. She is open to whatever makes sense for her and her family at any given moment.
