Buzz Aldrin has married on his 93rd birthday.

Aldrin posted photos of his wedding on Twitter and wrote they were "as excited as eloping teenagers".
"On my 93rd birthday & the day I will also be honored by Living Legends of Aviation I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur & I have tied the knot," Aldrin tweeted.
"We were joined in holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles & are as excited as eloping teenagers," Aldrin tweeted.
In the photos shared by Aldrin on Twitter, the nonagenarian astronaut was dressed in a suit which had Air Force badge and medal. Dr Anca Faur was dressed in a sparkly gown, according to reports.
Buzz Aldrin was part of US' epoch-making Apollo 11 lunar mission in 1969. Lunar module pilot Aldrin was there with Commander Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins.
Among the three astronauts, only Aldrin is alive.

Dr Faur holds PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and works as executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC.
