The last-minute decision of Qatar to ban alcohol at stadiums during World Cup matches has left Budweiser with numerous loads of beer. But the company has an innovative solution. It will be given to country, who wins the World Cup.

There are a few Muslim competitors; if that happens to be Saudi Arabia, then the plans are likely be shelved again. But if some non-Islamic country wins it, the fans of that country will be in for a treat.

The story unfolded in this manner. Budweiser has been partnering with FIFA for the World Cup tournament for several years. They are the official sponsors of the World Cup. Word has it that Budweiser has paid FIFA approximately $75 million this time. Earlier, Budweiser was informed that the Qatari ruling family objected to the sale of beer in the vicinity of the stadiums. The stadiums, which boasted an alcoholic section, also had a chill-out area for those fans, who had a bit extra to drink. Also, the beer was allowed to be sold at the point of sale three hours before the whistle and one hour after the final whistle.
