Bruce Willis' wife says he is not going to get better and his kids are aware of his declining health
Emma Heming Willis recently revealed that her daughters understand Bruce Willis' declining health and are aware that he will not recover. Willis' diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia has made life difficult for his family, who have chosen honesty...

Heming disclosed in a recent interview that she has taken care to avoid hiding Willis' illness from the young children because it is not something to sugarcoat.
Following his diagnosis of aphasia, which was later determined to be frontotemporal dementia (FTD), Bruce Willis left the film industry. Heming has stated that she has no intention of lying to her young daughters, Evelyn, 10, and Mabel, 12, regarding the health of their father, Bruce.

The children saw the movie star's health decline before he was even given a dementia diagnosis, the model told Town & Country Magazine. She has never made an effort to make anything seem nice to them. They grew up watching Willis deteriorate over time, Heming remarked.
Heming added that Willis' illness is frequently misdiagnosed and misunderstood, adding that receiving an accurate diagnosis enabled her to better understand the actor's struggles. Finally getting to a diagnosis was key so that she could learn what frontotemporal dementia is and I could educate our children, as quoted in a report by the Blast.
Heming believes that FTD whispers, not shouts, and that the signs of his dementia struggles were not immediately obvious. She also mentioned that her children know that their father is not going to get better. Heming has used her voice to raise awareness for FTD and regularly attends seminars with experts and researchers.
