What part of the building collapsed?
The 17-story building's incinerator shaft collapsed due to the explosion. The Department of Buildings was looking into that, but the rest of the building seemed stable and unaffected by the apartments.
Although there is a school across the street, no evacuation was announced, as per a report by ABC 7 Eyewitness News.
